No Longer Wading. No Longer Waiting.
Words came to me, awaking me in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 15th. They began around 3:45 am and these words that I share here, I recorded at 4:09 am.
I am deep in it.
No longer wading. No longer waiting. No longer hesitating and resisting.
I am in the flow.
In this space, from this space, I invite you to join me in a dialogue about learning, schooling and education. This dialogue is essential. It is one that has been calling me for some time and now is the time to step, to share and to invite a conversation. Now is the time to elicit your view, your thoughts, your understandings, your experiences. Now is the time to engage.
I invite you to join me by engaging with these questions. Ask them, sit with them, be with what arises. Find me and share your experiences with me. I am eager to hear, to learn, to receive that which you are willing to share. If not me, find someone to engage in a dialogue with these questions. Enjoy the dive.
How do you know you learn?
How do you learn?
How do you know you have learned something?
Describe your experiences in school. What did you learn there? What experiences there shaped you?
What is the purpose of school?
What is the purpose of going to school?
What are the roles of schools?
What is education?
How does one get an education?
What does it mean to be educated?
What does it mean to learn?
What does it mean to be taught?
What do you know about learning in school?
I invite these reflections, your ponderings and your awareness to these questions for you to deepen your understanding, your connections with schools, learning, and education. Not from what we have been told, heard or read, but from your experiences, your own inner knowing.
Thank you for taking a moment or moments to be with these questions. I know from my own experiences diving deep, I access parts of me that want to be brought to the surface, want to see the light.
Bringing our truth into light helps guide our way on.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
