Electricity

Electricity is an interesting thing here in India.

The one thing you can guarantee is that the sun will rise every morning and darkness will arrive every night. She is consistent, dedicated and devoted to bringing light.  At times she is hidden behind clouds, yet her presence is known as she has brought light to end the darkness of night.

One can rely on light that the sun or Surya brings. 

One can also rely on the electricity going out.

You can be going about your day, having a conversation, eating lunch, in a yoga class listening to the teacher on her microphone, warming your feet by the heater, heating water to take a hot shower, or typing on your computer and the power goes out. You know what? Folks carry on, doing what they are doing. It is as if no one notices. Yet, they do ‘notice,’ they simply to not add value to it. The power went out. The power goes out. That is what happened. That is what happens. No need to panic. No need to comment. No need to do anything different. For only the power went out. Everything else remains the same. 

While everything remains the same, the power comes back on. And, again, that is what happens. No need to comment. No need to acknowledge. There is no need. Simply the power came back on.
